Should you Always use Linux? Yes, but No.

The answer to the question, in my opinion, is mostly yes. However, if you really need to use something that isn't native to the Linux environment, and has to wrangled in through something like WINE, just don't bother. Find a Linux alternative, or boot into Windows (or Mac). Have a project that NEEDS to be done in Auto CAD, or Adobe whatever, and so on? While there might be some alternative on Linux, sometimes you need the proprietary version, for who knows why, but it comes up. For many situations, there is a native alternative, but this isn't a religion, use it if you need to.

(also Mac OS is, as far as I'm aware, generally servicable, with a lot of the command line power preserved. However, it lacks the elegance and customizability of Linux. For example, good luck changing the Window Manager, or changing global key bindings (such as caps lock to escape, super handy for vim) (this may be easy, idk, I'm not a mac person), or easily downloading projects via the command line (idk maybe its easy on Mac?), or changing the desktop environment, etc.)
